Today, despite all of its improvements, Google Translate is still not a hundred percent accurate in its results. It is also only helpful with a few famous languages. When it comes to Asian or African vernaculars, it often provides inaccurate results. It is also not equipped to handle official documents like a birth certificate. But despite all that, people still accuse agencies of using Google’s language services. If they were doing that, none of their results would be accurate.
Another interesting question regarding Google Translate is whether or not it will become accurate enough in the future that being accused of using it will be considered a compliment. If you know anything about the language industry and the way translation works, you would know that the answer to that is pretty simple. Even with a hundred new upgrades, Google’s program will not become better than the work of human experts. Being accused of using it to provide translations to clients will always be considered an insult. Agencies and experts deserve credit for their quality work. But unfortunately, people would rather celebrate a program that does not even offer accurate results than human experts who have achieved perfection in their work after years of practice.
